Emergency Accommodation Host
Emergency accommodation hosts provide young people with a safe place to stay, for one night at a time. Hosts must be willing to have a DBS check, funded by Nightstop and able to provide a private bedroom, meals, washing and laundry facilities. The time commitment is completely flexible; hosts tell us when they are available to accommodate a young person. Hosts are supported via a 24 hour on call service when accommodating a young person. Supported Lodgings Host
Supported Lodgings hosts provide young people with longer term accommodation, usually for around 6 to 12 months. This can be variable depending on the young person’s needs. Hosts must be willing to have a DBS check, funded by Nightstop and able to provide a private bedroom, meals, washing and laundry facilities. Young people are given a licence agreement and a key to the property. Full training and ongoing support is provided and a weekly payment is paid to the host.
